Questing is how a tick finds a host. Ticks can detect body heat, carbon dioxide from your breath, and vibrations from movement. When they sense that something is nearby, they climb onto grass or vegetation and stretch out their front legs—a behavior called questing. They’re essentially waiting and hoping that a person or animal will brush past, giving them the chance to grab on, climb aboard, and feed. #ticks #tickseason #lyme #lymedisease
